Alan is a consultant in our London office. He specialises in Marine Personal Injury and is a recognised leader in his field. Alan acts on behalf of Owners and their P&I Associations in defending claims. He has extensive experience of dealing with a wide variety of injury and fatal accident claims to crewmembers, passengers and stevedores. His expertise covers incidents occurring around the world on vessels of all descriptions, and oil rigs, and he has been involved in three Public Inquiries into the loss of vessels.
Career
Alan joined Thomas Cooper as a consultant in 2007. He qualified as a solicitor in 1973 and was a partner at another major firm of London shipping solicitors, where he was in charge of personal injury for 20 years. He read law at Cambridge University.
