Peter Iglikowski
Expertise
Peter is a partner of the shipping group in our Paris office. He advises on English and French law and specialises in shipping, insurance and international trade/commodities/arbitration. He also has expertise in cargo claims, personal injury, pollution litigation, arrest of vessels, international transportation disputes and commercial litigation. He is particularly experienced in dealing with disputes in Eastern Europe and Middle East / North Africa.
Career
Peter became a partner of Thomas Cooper when he joined the firm in 2007. He is a dual qualified Avocat at the Paris Bar/Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with over 27 years experience in maritime law. Peter is a lecturer at the University of Paris V where he teaches English and French comparative law. He has also spoken at seminars in England, France and Saudi Arabia for Lloyds List, Euromoney and The College of Petroleum Studies. Peter read law at Peterhouse, Cambridge University.
