Leïla is involved in the handling of cases including ship arrests, cargo claims, bunker claims, collision claims, road transport, insurance matters, drafting of general conditions of sale or transport for cruise companies, and drafting of pilot and towage terms. She acts for clients such as P&I clubs, shipowners, charterers, cruising companies, freight forwarders, cargo’s interest and underwriters.
Career
Leila joined Thomas Cooper in 2007. She is an Avocat at the Paris Bar and has been practising shipping law since 1999. Leila speaks French (mother tongue) and English and is a lecturer on Anglo-French translations in insurance, maritime and road carriage laws at the Universities of Paris VII and Paris XIII. She also teaches French procedural law to insurers.
